Time Wasting…

So, my work sometimes entails visiting clients on-site to fix problems with their computer networks, today was one of those sometimes.

Now I didn’t have my car today, the wife was driving it, so I had to get there on foot, not too bad, it only took me about 1 hour and 30 minutes to walk there, lugging a laptop+assorted accessories in a laptop bag over my shoulder, so I finally get up to about 500m away from the clients office, and my boss calls “He y mate, you want to go get a coffee for a sec, I haven’t quite finished what I need to do before you can set up the stuff at the client, can you give me 1 hour” I’m like yeah thats cool, its on your time, so I’ll hang out at a coffee shop surfing the net on the company mobile phone and drinking some company paid for Vanilla Late goodness…

So when I’m bored with that, 45 minutes later, I phone up and the boss tells me that its taking a while, and I might as well head back to the office and we will do this tomorrow !!!!

So I walk back to the office…

Today I got to work at 9, went for a walk… got back at 1:30 and yeah… productive!

Also I think I got a sunburn, damn this accursed planet and the giant spherical INFERNO of cosmic energy that it rotates around. My poor nerd skin is all red and blistery :( Also, damn my bosses bumbling incompetence!

Medical Patents that last longer than 12 months are not protection of business, they are the protection of legalized, corporate controlled, death sentences.

Now that the Record and Film Industry have flooded the world with Advertisements that are crammed into our mind through every available conduit, They must accept that people will share this culture freely amongst themselves, and if it is easier to share it for free than it is to jump through DRM hoops and end user agreements just to listen to music, then Share it for free, they will.

Making it a criminal offense to share popular culture for free is non-sense. Peer-to-peer non-profit sharing, must not be confused with "For Profit Piracy". the sharers are not profiting, and record and movie sales continue to skyrocket, proving that there is minimal or no damage caused, in most cases it is BENEFICIAL to sales though word of mouth, and as such should be legalized.

Religion?
I believe that organized religion is one of the most dangerous phenomenon that our society faces. When power and faith go hand in hand the result is oppression, closed mindedness and severe danger. I am, however, more than happy for the individual to have a personally identified deity or concept, from which they can draw strength.
